Week - 2 Road Safety Week with Constable Dan

Kia Ora Dedicated Dragon's loving and caring whanau,

As last week was the Road Safety week at school, on Tuesday Constable Dan came to our class to teach us how to stay safe on the road either by walking or travelling in any vehicle. Also, he taught us about the importance of using the booster seats in our cars if we are below 148cm tall and if we don't use them what could go wrong. He took us to his own police car and showed us how to sit on the booster seat and how to buckle up our seat belts properly. Then he taught us how to cross the road safely using the zebra crossing outside our school - STOP, LOOK - both sides of the road AND LISTEN - for the traffic before we cross the road. While crossing the road we shouldn't walk too fast or too slow just keep walking and reach on the other side of the road safely.

Please have a look at our informative pictures and also talk to your children about what did they learn and see.

Here you go...
